This collection is inspired by the expressive and memorably-strange stage personalities Lady Gaga and Elton John. The costumes worn on stage during their performances transform them into their alternate personalities and immerse the audience in the performance. These four looks are designed to establish a pop star persona and answer to her needs in various aspects of her lifestyle: dodging paparazzi, calling paparazzi, walking a red carpet, and owning the stage.

I found inspiration for silhouettes, fabrics, and textures from 1970s Bob Mackie designs for Elton John and Cher. My color palette is inspired by early 2000s internet “scene” culture.
